Who operates this site

This site is operated by Ligomarc Advocates, a firm of advocates practising in Uganda. Our advocates are admitted to practise in Uganda and are subject to the Advocates Act and to the professional conduct rules made under it, and to the supervision of the Uganda Law Society.

Permitted use

You may read, print and download material from this site for your own information and for the purpose of evaluating whether to instruct us. You may quote from it with attribution.

You may not republish it as your own, sell it, systematically extract it, or present it in a way that suggests we endorse you or your work.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content of this site — text, structure, design and the firm's name and marks — belongs to Ligomarc Advocates or is used with permission. Photographs are licensed from third parties or belong to the firm; provenance for every image is published on our image credits page.

Availability and accuracy

We take care to keep this site accurate and current, but law changes, and material here may become out of date. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption or free of error.

Commentary on this site describes the law as we understood it at the date of publication, in general terms, and for a general audience.

Things you must not do

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction.
