Finance, Power & Infrastructure

Joshua structures the transactions that decide whether an energy or infrastructure project reaches financial close — and whether it holds together afterwards.

Joshua advises government agencies, development finance institutions, regulators, banks and project sponsors on complex, high-value transactions where financial exposure, regulatory accountability and operational continuity intersect. His work produces execution-ready documentation and governance structures built to withstand commercial, legal and reputational scrutiny.

His practice spans fund and scheme structuring, project finance, energy and infrastructure concessions, regulatory and compliance advisory, dispute and crisis management, and transaction risk management — including power distribution licensing, major hydropower EPC frameworks and development finance product design.

Representative experience

  • Led support to the Uganda Development Corporation on the conceptualisation, structuring, governance and regulatory framework design of the Industrial & Economic Development Fund.
  • Advised the Electricity Regulatory Authority on the Umeme concession and licensing matters.
  • Advised on a US$40m bagasse power plant financing for a major sugar producer.
  • Structured working capital and guarantee schemes for UECCC World Bank funded facilities.
